There is something uncomfortable about Mrs. Walbring. Perhaps the first thing that strikes you about her current cycle of paintings is her abundant use of color – a particularly novel choice for anyone familiar with her previous work. Mrs. Walbring paints impossible redheads like dolls, always dressed in colorful clothes. But something is out of place there. Their vision is lost to the horizon - or they can't see anything - and their lips don't allow you to glimpse even a sliver of a smile. It's not as if they were frozen in time, like in a photograph, but as if time itself was frozen in an endless autumn in those women's eyes. When we stop looking and start observing, everything starts to make sense. The details reveal whatever brought on that nagging feeling. The permanent lighting of a cloudy day; sober coloring; the half-burnt candles and the gnarled trees in the background. Dolls and their button eyes. Objects out of place. Nature is everywhere, but although they are not hostile, they seem far from bringing good omens – crows, dragonflies and sad hummingbirds. The works of Ms. Walbring have the power to open a window to a sensitive world, they refer to the uniqueness of the now, where only emotions matter and are exempt from all the noise of everyday life. Their world is a world of sadness, melancholy and the emptiness of loss, yet somehow it whispers emphatically to your senses that there is beauty even there.

Anne Walbring is a painter whose originality lies in her charming drawings that evoke fables. Her art reflects a personal taste and an intimate psychology that suggests an affinity with other eras. Introspection is another aspect present in her works. Her painting is a journey through time, providing a rich and pure universe that the artist lives inside. Her pictorial world is luminous and faithfully reflects her feelings.

Anne is a contemporary artist who stands out for her unique poetics and her ability to create an atmosphere similar to Dreamland. Her work "Unreal World" is an example of how his serene and fascinating interpretations create sweet and smooth compositions that seem to be a patiently generated paradise with each brushstroke.
